...Or maybe it's just for this year. I don't know. I was watching an episode of How I Met Your Mother earlier today, and they were talking about the best burger in New York. Apparently it was from a hole in the wall joint where the chef is fat and all tatted up. But anyway, it got me thinking...where is the best burger place here? No I don't mean In n Out or one of those fast food joints. Face it, their burgers are trash. But I still eat them, I know. So on to my ranting. The best burger that I had up until now has been from The Counter. That's the build your own burger joint. There's was superb...pure finesse. The bun was all toasty on the outside and buttery and soft on the inside. The patty was all juicy and moist...as soon as I bit in, the juices flowed into my mouth. Pure unadulterated bliss (all the homo, by the way...). The cheeses....don't get me started on the cheeses...But anywho, it got me thinking. What if there is a burger that is better than this? What if that burger from The Counter is trash compared to this Deity Burger (that's what I'm calling the best burger in LA...pay attention). In regards to this newfound idea, I searched up the top 10 burgers of 2011, and I'm going to each and every one of these restaurants to try their burgers. But I will start off my journey back at The Counter, so that I can rekindle my taste for their burger. After that, I'm going straight to number 1 on the top 10 list, and that place is right here in Little Tokyo. Wish me luck as I venture out to find this Deity Burger. Could I have already consumed this deity burger but overlooked the perfect harmony of flavors while in my hunger-filled stupor? Who knows...
Until next time...
